the great jazz pianist Bill Evans (from New Jersey) in the late '40s somehow ended up attending SELU! (he later described his time in Hammond as the happiest of his life),
His brother taught at LSU, & Bill is buried at Roselawn in BR, in a nice spot under an oak tree

The grave of Bluesman, Mississippi John Hurt, is near my ancestral homeland. To say it is in the middle of nowhere is an understatement.

Just a few presidents, Truman and Jefferson. They were buried at their houses.
Nope. Truman is buried at his presidential library.

To many to name buried in Westminster Abbey in London (Queen Elizabeth I, Sir Issac Newton, ….), and foundering fathers of this nation, but a couple that most know Calamity Jane & Wild Bill Hickock buried in Deadwood, SD.
But some of the most intriguing for me were a number of “no name” people, only “historic/famous” today because they were victims of drowning on the RMS Titanic - buried in Halifax Nova Scotia in a cemetery next to a brew pub I was “visiting” in the early 90s. Happened upon it just by chance, and at that time I wasn’t aware many of drowning victims were buried there as that is where they were brought into port (as were survivors) after recovery in the N Atlantic at the sinking site.
(not my photos, as I didn’t have a camera on me at the time, but internet images)

Lots of Cathedrals and other various burial places in England. Elvis. But the one that had the most impact was the Omaha Beach cemetery. If you get the opportunity, it is a must visit in my opinion. Very sobering and inspiring.
