Why can’t Trump just stick to talking policy?

I liked his policies. The world was safer. The economy was stronger. The border was becoming less porous.
It’s the one thing that even a few people with TDS will sometimes concede, to at least some degree.
But he keeps up with the childish social media stuff and loyalty litmus tests.
Why on Earth can he not stick to the messaging that “still available” voters will buy into?

Because he’s lived his life surrounded by “yes men” and weak minded and untalented supporters.
He doesn’t know when to STFU.
He has zero game. It’s all childish antics and playground bully shite.
And sadly, many here absolutely adore him for it. These people have to be pro wrestling fans.
But most sadly is the fact that with just an ounce of fricking maturity he could have radically and fundamentally changed the direction of our nation. Instead he wanted to show DC how the art of the deal is done.
He doesn’t know when to STFU.

He has to get the fricking word out because the god damn media will not cover him unless it is negative made up bull shite and he has to expose his competitors because the media won’t and the very little things he does has to be shock value to keep his name in the headlines

His policy isn’t going to really do much with mainstream conservatives. Spending tons of money, refusing to talk about entitlements, not doing anything about the administrative state last time, etc isn’t going to be a winner against other primary participants

This is the thing that drives me nuts about people. He is NOT campaigning against Biden right now. He is campaigning against DeSantis, Niki Haley, and whoever the frick else is in this race.
Biden is not on Trump’s radar right now. Right now he is trying to knock out the other Republicans running against him.
