Looking at getting an AR-15, this would be my first one. Looking at this Radical Firearms.

Is this a decent rifle at $600?

They’re not bad guns, especially for the price. I had a pistol in 300 blackout I got on Black Friday a few years ago. Check them out on primary arms and you can save some money. The 5.56 is $420 on there and the 308 is $500.

PSA has the upper and lower assemblies separated.

Buy one of each and snap em together and save $125 bucks.

Put that toward an optic of your choice or magazines and ammo.

I really like the Duramags. I have a pile of them.

Its a fine AR. I am personally not a fan because while I am a PSA fan boy, I think a Blem PSA rifle for $150 less is better quality with a lifetime warranty. I can buy 10 mags or even a on sale Sig Optic for that extra $150. Thats just me.

I have a few off of primary arms. They've been great with no issues. Made in Texas I believe.

Radical uses the cheapest parts possible... it is quite a shame, there first guns using commercial surplus parts were actually decent, when they started getting parts made to their spec... downhill fast with zero qc

I'd go a cheap PSA over a radical.. that is saying a lot. An actual decent rifle that is a budget brand are Delton AR15's. I even threw a Delton upper on an M16 lower a few years ago because it was the only compatible upper we had with us when we didn't want to abuse an original colt commando upper for a weekend shoot and it took several mag dumps like a champ.

Agree with many here. Buy one from PSA and spend the rest of your budget on mags/ammo.
