can we get a list of the prior defections and mark off as they come on board for the nominee?

Graves votes like a good Louisianian for his Louisiana buddy, Johnson

Just imagine, several weeks ago this guy probably could not even fathom he was going to be up for speaker. Life changes fast…

Clay Higgins also on board with Johnson
Posted on 10/25/23 at 12:23 pm to rt3
How many votes does he need to win?

I really really dislike that guy. Seems like a slimy kiss arse. Like the little dog in Bugs Bunny always kissing the big dog Spikes arse.

215 due to missing Dems, IIRC

The biggest all time loser? Jefferies has lost every round and likely set a record.
I am really impressed with Gaetz to have the balls to call McCarthy on his breaking promises.
It goes further than the House - it also tells each House member that their constituents can vote them out too if they stray too far off agenda they were voted in for. So it might help all of us in that regard.

What deals did Johnson agree to?

Are they doing that stupid thing where Hakeem says “Jeffries” and the Dems all stand and cheer like their retarded child just opened a chip bag by himself for the first time?

Sheila Jackson-Lee isn't too busy cursing out her Houston Mayoral Campaign staffers to vote?
Mike Johnson I'd on board with Mike Johnson

Gaetz said this was always the long play and that they knew they couldn't beat the swamp in one round.

Not sure but everyone seems lined up behind him, which is a damn sight better than any candidate since January.

We're at 200 votes cast... still no defectors

Why do the black members have to provide an editorial with their vote?
