Now that life continues to get harder with rates going up in every aspect of our lives then they finally decide “It’s time to start paying back student loans!” No drop in interest there btw. My bills are now borderline above my income monthly! frick this crooked government sideways! I should literally just say duck the federal government and not pay cuz I feel like I’ve already paid them back honestly

I don’t understand did they not disclose the terms to you when you signed up?

I’ve paid it back but the interest rates make me a prisoner. That’s my only complaint

Real world my friend. Interest is part of life, doing business and will always be there. Part of the issue has been really cheap money(low rates) that didn’t reflect the true inflation rate. You can blame that on our government as deficit spending will cause this every time.
The underwriting for these loans was disregarded, the universities kept raising prices and bingo a recipe for making easy prey of those young college kids. It’s about like the pay day loans that prey on the least educated and poor.
Sorry this happened to you. Now get off your feeling poor me attitude, pay off your loans with interest and vow to never let it happen again.

You keep saying this, but that's not how it works.

Republican- bitching is fine. Structure your life to take care of your obligations. Work more and harder. Solve the problem and don’t depend on government.

Aren't FedGov student loans fixed interest?

Suck it up pudding cup, shouldn’t have taken loans out for a degree that didn’t lead to pay sufficient to pay them back while maintaining a level of living that you find sufficient. Pay extra on mine monthly because I chose wisely. And complaining about interest rates is stupid, they are fixed and less than damn mortgage rates these days.

During the "pause" did you make any preparations for this?
Posted on 10/25/23 at 4:53 am to mattchewbocca
If you were smart you had 3 years of no loans. I hope you saved up
