I am assuming the only reason this game got scheduled is because the Governor is a West Point grad.

Kelly loves the service academies. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing one of them every other year or so.

I didn’t believe LSU was going to score 62 points on Army. I would have enjoyed a more competitive game.

Baseball opens with VMI this year, so that's cool too

As a paying customer, I’d prefer more competitive games scheduled for my money

However knowing how hard the SEC is and will be moving forward, 2-3 layups a year are very beneficial for the team trying to reach the ultimate goal

I doubt we play a service academy again soon. We needed a game at a weird spot in the season. Almost every conference is in the middle of conference play. Army doesn’t have a conference so it worked out. Air Force and Navy are actually in conferences, so if we were to play them it would be a September matchup.

I think it was scheduled because of JBE ties as well. It was cool to see Army, but they can’t play with the big boys.

I hope so. It is a cupcake rent-a-win, but is much better than a team like Grambling. Playing a Service Academy makes me feel good about my country, even though they don’t stand a chance.

We can wear patches for the game, paint the seats, etc. All kinds of options.
