My guess is that CR usually ends up being about the only option left much of the time - when there is simply no agreement enough to do otherwise. I can’t imagine just the Republican Party in the House alone being able to do damn near anything with the division that has only strengthened over the past couple of weeks. Not a good prognosis ahead.
