“Where were you when the world stop turning” is damn close to the best song ever, but it’s a close second to “He stopped loving her today” by GJ

When the tornado hit Newnan in 2022 he was watching the TV up in Nashville when it came across the news and he told Denise that he needed to do something for his hometown.

2 weeks later he did a free benefit concert for the tornado victims at the Coweta County Fairgrounds.

I tried to get tickets but that sucker sold out in literally 5 minutes.

That's class.....

I lived about an hour from Newnan and when his very first album came out, he did a autograph session at the Walmart there in Newnan. My wife and I drove over and went. It was great and you could tell then that he was going to be huge.

I always laugh when I hear the opening lyrics of "Home" and he sings, "In A small town down in Georgia, over 40 years ago" b/c Newnan isn't small anymore.

The population of that city has nearly quadrupled since 1990.From 12,497 in '90 to 42,549 in '20. I wouldn't be shocked if it's pushing 50K now. That town has absolutely exploded.

And a fellow Georgia boy. The pride of Newnan. One of my favorites. He has had so many great songs(wrote a vast majority of them), but this one IMO is criminally underrated... Midnight in Montgomery.

That song is skrong! Good call!
