While I makes fun of Disney, it also stresses that all you who cry about every film being woke are the very reason why these film execs are releasing that type of content. More you cry, the more they double down.

Explain that logic.
Yeah, that's just stupid. Every recent Disney movie and show could be all white males, and they would still be awful.

'Haters' are just reacting to the crap they see. If there is any element of spiteful reaction from Disney, it's ALL still on them.

And honestly, I don't know why there aren't class action lawsuits filed by stockholders against all of these DEI companies. They are willfully doing things that they know will tank the stock prices. Seems pretty textbook to me.

ETA: the only time Disney overreacts to things that happen on social media, it's when they're pandering to crybullies who want Gina Carano fired.

Watched this today. I enjoyed it: it was solid. I enjoyed both main storylines….the handyman one was especially great.

I just wish we’d get seasons, even if shortened ones. I miss “normal” SP where the focus is on the kids and the stupid shite kids get into. The Tegridy thing has run its course. The PC shite has run its course. The “season long plot” have run their course. Etc. Just give me the boys fricking around and making fun of each other.

It’s weird that they signed a nearly billion dollar deal, yet we get less SP than ever.

That's because they would make even less sense. Much of what Disney has been pushing out has been from the standpoint of subtly (and not so subtly) pushing social justice activism as the true focal point of their stories. What the characters are doing and trying to achieve is secondary to the core narrative of "female/trans/etc = good, white or white male = bad".
