At one time there was a significant number of Christians among the Palestinians. I don't know if that is true today.

Heard on radio recently that Gaza was over 98% Muslim.

estimated to be 1000 Palestinian Christians in Gaza and another 50,000 on the West Bank.

These are the people I'm most concerned about in this whole shite show. Our church is mission partners with a few - they've stayed at my house in the past, and they are great people. They are stuck in a very shitty world - they get it from both sides.

Serious question... why are they there? Are they mission workers, do they not have the ability to leave, etc?

If we had a functional immigration system in this country, we could grant all 51K of them legal status today and get them here.

To me, that is what asylum is supposed to do.

This is not new. The same dynamic existed in the 80s when I lived in the ME.

I had read something recently that Egypt went thru much trouble to remove Hamas from Egypt and close off tunnels from Gaza into Egypt. They do not want them back in their land stirring up hostilities.

Over 30% of marriages in Gaza are between 1st cousins.

The average IQ is 67.9

Plus they can't even look at women, so they wind up molesting the little boys who then end up really messed up. It's just a sick culture.

Because it is their home. The Christians used to be much more numerous, but the Muzzies practiced ethnic cleansing until most moved away. And yeah, they can't move away. EVERY Palestinian would move away if they could.

Their best bet for the future is to escape Hamas leadership.

Don't wish to be parties to Israels prolonged attempt at ethnic cleansing. Zionists learned a lot about expulsions, progroms & genocide from their recent history in Europe.

I refer you to the parable of the Scorpion and the Frog ….

quote:

A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river.

The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. It's my character."

They were stupid to go back after they got out. Hard to feel sorry for someone like that.

This should tell the world all you need to know about Palestinians...

It's more that Palestinians are more useful being where they are as compared to being outside of Gaza.

If they accepted refugees, Israel would be able to move into Gaza and take it over. Egypt specifically said this was why they didn't want to take refugees from Gaza.

At the moment, Palestinians are a thorn in Israel's side which is what Arab nations want.

Arab countries care less for the Palestinian people but the Palestinian cause.

Why do people keep saying this?

The King of Jordan is married to someone from Palestine.

There are millions of people in Jordan from Palestine who came as refugees between 1947 to 1967.

LINK

I've seen this narrative on the internet that Palestinians are persona non grata in Jordan which isn't true.

But Jordan is a poor country that can barely look after its own population. It is currently hosting over 1 million Syrian refugees alone.

It's been this way all my life and I just turned 60. No other Arab countries will touch them.
