US Customs confirms 4th Iranian 'special interest alien' apprehended this month in Eagle Pass, Texas Greg Wehner, Griff Jenkins Sun, October 15, 2023

Border Patrol agents reportedly apprehended an Iranian trying to sneak into Texas among a group of 130 migrants from Venezuela on Sunday. The Iranian man in his 40s was among a group crossed from Mexico at about 3 a.m., Fox News reported, citing sources with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was considered a “special interest alien” — or SIA — potentially posing a national security risk to the U.S. or its interests. Breitbart reported that agents in Eagle Pass also apprehended three other SIAs on Thursday. Two were from Lebanon and the other was from Egypt.

What is a Special Interest Alien? U.S. Customs and Border Protection calls people "special interest aliens" who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially pose a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Often such individuals or groups are employing travel patterns known or evaluated to possibly have a link to terrorism.

The agency says being labeled an SIA does not mean that they are actual terrorists, but rather at a minimum, need heightened screening and further investigation. Last week, Border agents apprehended two Lebanese nationals in Eagle Pass last week, who were also considered to be SIAs. Separately, border agents in the Rio Grande Valley apprehended another 19 Iranians and 17 Syrians, Fox News reported.

So the bigger question is who were these special interest aliens talking to here in the US and where were they going once they got here? They had to be talking with someone already here..

Good on those agents for catching these 3am frickers, despite the fact fedgov is more interested in sending money to Ukraine than to Border Sectors Laredo, Big Bend, Del Rio, and El Paso.

I’m sure the Biden administration will give them a bus ticket to any city in the US they want to go to and apologize for stopping them

The. Number. One. Voting. Issue.
One man had the balls to say, “build a wall and deport illegals”. The others are typical politicians.

I asked BingChat:
what is the US doing with the "special interest aliens" detained at the sothern border? are they being deported, or allowed to stay in the us?
Here is the response:
According to a leaked Customs and Border Protection (CBP) document, the United States Border Patrol has arrested thousands of "special interest aliens" from the Middle East trying to illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border ¹. "Special interest aliens" are defined as people from foreign countries that have conditions that promote or protect terrorism, or that may pose a threat to U.S. national security ¹. From October 2021 to October 2023, border agents apprehended 6,386 nationals from Afghanistan, 3,153 from Egypt, 659 from Iran, and 538 from Syria ¹. Additionally, agents encountered 12,624 from Uzbekistan, 30,830 from Turkey, 1,613 from Pakistan, 164 from Lebanon, 185 from Jordan, 123 from Iraq and 15,594 from Mauritania ¹. It is unclear how many of the "special interest aliens" were removed or released into the United States ¹.
I'm sorry but I don't have any information on whether these individuals are being deported or allowed to stay in the US. However, I can suggest that you check with the Department of Homeland Security for more information on this topic.

Only a matter of time. They have sleeper cells in every major city that have come across the border in the past 3 years.

Awesome! Give them free college tuition, free medical care, free housing at a 5 star hotel and enroll them on the Democrat voter rolls. Let's keep this train rolling!!
