It is a bit of a conundrum.

The DJ stuff is trash and the speakers for the piped in music sound horrible (too loud and sound blown at times). There's way too much PIM vs band play.

OTOH, the band is sooooo soft. The Pre Game "baaaaa ba ba bah!" sounds weak vs years past. The dancers seem to be doing poor freestyles a lot. The first, second, and third down songs aren't always played (and no, the band isn't moving at these times). It seems the only song they tend to play with clarity is the trashy ones where our student section tries to out do West Virginia students in trashiness.

So it is a damned if you do, damned if you don't, because neither option is very good right now. I absolutely HATE Auburn and yet I have to shamefully admit their band was 1,000x better. They were clear and loud and played a wide selection of recognizable songs (without trashy chants). They even played over Neck, doing LSU a PR favor.

This thread’s replies are exactly why nothing will change. Same complacent Louisiana bullshite that keeps anything from being better. Tolerating falling behind as a point of pride. Attacking people who want basic problems fixed instead of attacking the basic problems that need fixing. It’s a microcosm of why anybody with means and sense gets the frick out of there ASAP.
