Need some help identifying copper line from hot water heater

I have a copper line that is leaking at my hot water heater but I have no idea where it goes. I've checked the refrigerator and outdoor hose bib but that's not it. What would use a copper supply line in a house? Picture below

The tee off the valve is for expansion relief. Should just go to where it's safe to send water.

Ryanjag is correct. Apollo EXP valve has a tap for expansion pressure relief.

Why does it matter where it goes? Shut off the valve, empty the tank and repair the leak.

Why are you heating hot water?
