Specifically in the Franklin County, MS area. I only use one once a year for my food plots, hate to drop $800-1000 for one and tired of borrowing my neighbors.

No one that I know of rents in this area.

Don’t know anyone that rents. Check out the atv spreaders. My tractor spreader has sat idle last few years as we find it’s faster to use the electric one behind a side by side

So you have freeloaded so much off your neighbor that you have worn out your welcome with him?

I’d buy one and be done. They last a long time if you clean them and keep them out of the weather.

If you buy your seed from a full service farm input outlet they will usually let you use one of their spreaders. Their spreaders are larger, pull type. I used one from Nutrien to plant 5 acres and pulled it with my half ton truck.

I wash mine with detergent if I use fertilizer. Then put motor oil on the gate and between the plates at the bottom. Fertilizer will rot them in a year.

Try you local farmer's co-op. Port Gibson co-op has seed carts for rent.

I do the same each time. Only difference is I spray it with WD40.

My dad always said if you borrow something twice, you need one.
