Sorry but BK is failing

Making last year look like an anomaly, didn’t even finish last year strong got blown out twice. Recruiting is meh, players aren’t bought in and staff is mediocre. He can replace house but he still sucks at recruiting….future looks like 8-4 is the normal. Pumpers will say but 39 players and he needs time blah blah…this is year 2 of portal football and it’s worse

I’m not ready to say that but he has to make major changes to his staff (and they need to be excellent) and I also agree with the poster who said the media needs to ask “tougher” questions.
He knew the expectations and he should understand how unacceptable the defense is.
I am encouraged by seeing that Pete Jenkins is now on staff. It’s a start and Kelly did it quickly.

It seems to me either they are scared of him to ask him the tough questions.
Or they simply have a pact with other media members to only ask certain questions to no make the coach or football program look bad

Guy can’t recruit, can’t manage the game properly, and we look extremely unprepared for big games. Someone yesterday posted his record against top 10 & 25 teams, it’s horrible.
He’s an overrated hack who built his “impressive” resume by beating teams like wake forest and navy every week at ND.

Beating a down Alabama team in OT, winning the west and not one person giving LSU a chance to win the SEC championship really isn’t the achievement Kelly lovers make it out to be.
LSU finished with 4 losses and played Purdue in their bowl game. If he’s lucky he will finish with 4 losses this year. It may be more.

There were red flags on the hires, but I think most of us put faith in BK to make the right picks.
Cooks - wasn't regarded as a great safety coach or recruiter
Steeples - seems like a great guy, but was a HS coach not long ago
House - Kentucky fans said he was good. not great and not a recruiter
Lindsey - had some positive reviews, but wasn't exactly a top recruiter and had only coached D1 since 2020
The D staff seems like a mix of inexperience and meh coaches. House may have been able to do better if he put together his coaching staff. I'm not sure if these are his guys.

Recruiting finished #5 last year. We are #10 currently cause of a down year in Louisiana… O and Miles both had worse years than that.
BK always said year 3 is whenever we would take off.
Truth is we hit gold last year in the portal and this year we didn’t. He doesn’t want to live by the portal forever and stated that numerous times. I think we will be fine. Just need some patience
