This isn’t true for every player. Pate said he has talked to the recruiting analysts and players don’t talk about NIL as much as people make it seem like. He said very few players go with the most money solely**. Same with wins.

They don't.

Recruiting has nuance. Yea, Some kids will fight over the money. But A lot of kids just want to go to a place they feel comfortable and can play early.

I have followed recruiting hardcore for 25 years. The patterns are not all that different when it comes to LSU.

Fans just cannot get NIL out of their head. Every recruiting loss is because of NIL to them. But they fail to acknowledge the wins when the variables are the same.

The data & context proves that is simply not always about money.

Two Louisiana HS DL not knowing who their DL position is going to be at LSU and thus committing to TAMU is not necessarily NIL related
