Want to take my grand daughter on a trip in Feb. will want to give her a day or 2 in ski school, some snowmobiling, maybe some sledding. Wife and I love park city, but are other options better for an 11 year old?
Thinking of Park Cit, Telluride, Steamboat Springs, or maybe a Vermont trip?
Appreciate the suggestions.

Park city would be great. Breckenridge would be another good one to do all those things.

Western snow > eastern snow.

Crested Butte is great for kids. All of my kids learned to ski there 30 years ago. Easy to get to (fly into Gunnison). You get to avoid the Denver/I-70 crowds, so lift lines are less crowded. Great ski school. Reasonable lift tickets and ski rentals. Our family has skiied there over 25 times.

Took my nieces to Keystone last year and they loved it, Breck would also be great. I don't think you could go wrong with PC, Telluride or Steamboat either. Since you mentioned snowmobiling maybe you should consider Jackson or Big Sky as well.
I would stay away from the east, the west has much more predictable snow.

Loved using Salt Lake as a base. You can go anywhere from there: Park City. Powder Mountain. Ogden. Provo.
We chose Powder Mountain outside of Ogden. Great facility. Lots of lesson options. Much much cheaper, too.
Check out Tahoe—can drive into Reno to change things up a bit.
What about Jackson Hole?

Unless you’re hell bent on ski in/out, I’d stay in Frisco, CO. Breck, Copper, and Keystone are all right there. Vail is a short drive away. You’ll find everything you’re looking for right there.

Frisco or hell, Leadville (though the amenities there arent exactly resort like, so be aware) could be good choices. A couple of the snowmobile options along Fremont Pass.
And if you want ski school, Cooper is a good bet and pretty damn cheap, if you choose Leadville.
But again, Leadville dont have a whole lot.
You want actual amenities, Frisco or go with the Crested Butte suggestion. That mountain likes a WSW wind, which we should get a fair bit of with El Nino on.

Top notch ski school in Breckenridge, with sledding close by and a great town for y’all to enjoy.

I learned in Snowmass 20 years ago and was skiing blacks day 1. It was a great beginner friendly mountain back then. Not sure what it’s like today. Close to aspen.
