frick I just said I was done flying SW
Eta: Thanksgiving, Christmas/NY, and Presidents day weekends are blacked out
Is there a way to put in your departure airport and browse locations and dates by price? I don't have anywhere to go but if there's a good deal somewhere fun on a weekend I might as well

Not on southwest unfortunately. You have to type in destinations and then search their "Fare Calendar"

Any particular reason? I haven’t flown SW in years, but am considering flying them to Bozeman and driving to Jackson vs flying into Jackson. The price is just too good.

I’ll be at Big Sky 2/3-2/7 (already had my flights through AA). Missed you by a few days in Sun Valley earlier this year. If you’ll be around Big Sky during that time, I’ll buy you a beer.
Jackson Hole 3/10-3/15 and am cringing at the flights for a family of 4 there.

Ughh off by 2 days again! 2/9-2/12 is what I just booked
For Jackson, can you fly to Salt lake and drive? It's about 4.5 hours of a drive, the only place I would not recommend crossing states is highway 34 between ID and WY. Did that last year and it was a nightmare. Could easily take hwy 30 down to I80 avoiding nasty mountain passes

I’m not opposed to that. I’m halfway between JAN and MLU. I don’t normally do it, but am considering driving to MSY for the southwest flight to save $2k.

I just looked at southwest from Jackson and it's $228 roundtrip 2/21-2/28 (just as a price point). The nonstop from Nola to Salt Lake on Delta would be pretty convenient, really just depends on total cost of that flight and the rental car as well. Flying into Jackson you probably don't need a car unless you want to get out of town or park at the resort.
When I went in March, all parking lots except the stilon lot were paid parking. The bus from the stilson lot took me straight to the base of the tram. Now with kids and a family it's a different story but saved at least $75 over 3 days

I’ll keep all of that in mind. Thanks for the suggestions.

Just know that you're more likely to get delayed than not. 6-7 years ago I loved SW and always flew with them, but then I moved and they didn't fly to my home airport so I switched to Delta. I moved again and lost status with Delta this year and decided to start flying the cheapest option available (other than spirit) which was always SW. Flew with them 4 times this year and all 4 have had delays. One was especially annoying because I had gotten food poisoning in the airport while we were delayed for 2 hours. We got on the plane and they delayed us after boarding another hour because they were missing some passengers bags. Eventually we took off but once we landed we were delayed on the tarmac another 1.5 hours because another plane was parked at our gate and it was 3 AM so they had to wait to find someone to move the plane. Dont know why they couldnt just park at a different gate and let us off. But sitting on a plane for 6 hours with food poisoning left a bad taste in my mouth

Sale is extended through today (Friday) for those interested.

I think I'm being patient on this one...
Don't they run another big sale in November/December?
I'm looking for travel around Easter.... so I guess I'll hold off on some of these solid deals.

Yeah I saw the sale was extended to today. Got some great deals and I'm expecting some schedule changes between now and March to switch to even better flight times/routings.
This is probably the start of that sale, my guess is bookings are way down for fall/winter so they wanted a boost.

I snagged Denver rt from Austin for $119 and Nashville rt from Austin for $229 for 2.
Great deals if you've got some flexibility.
