We don’t do a good job at disguising blitzes which doesn’t help a guy like Perkins. You could easily predict the pressure we were bringing a few seconds before the snap. Seemed like KJ could tell when we were blitzing and when were bluffing. The sack HP got was when he didn’t see him pre snap coming from the short side of the field.

It’s about him becoming more versatile, and about others stepping up and making an impact when offenses key specifically on him.

This! If teams are keying on Perkins others have to win their one on ones and get to the ball carrier or QB.

You still have to worry about containment, but you don’t need numbers to get him down like you do with Jefferson.

I agree. They still may be able to scheme around Perkins, but I think others will get home.
I think the biggest thing to work on this week is the DB’s staying with their assignments when the receivers begin their scramble drill.. because the front 7 will definitely have Dart scrambling.. and that is where we got hurt last night.
If they can stay with their assignments and GET THEIR HEAD AROUND when they are in position, this Defense can be ELITE

The fact we can’t get successful pressures with guys like smith, wingo, perk et al is House’s / Jancek’s biggest failure so far
