If only this could have been litigated in, say, December 2020…

August 2020 would have been even better.

That's what an earlier ruling the state Supreme Court stated, the Trump campaign waited until after the election to challenge, which was too late.

The Campaign's delay in raising these issues was unreasonable to the extreme

To the extent we have not made this clear in the past, we do so now. Parties bringing election-related claims have a special duty to bring their claims in a timely manner... The issues raised in this case, had they been pressed earlier, could have been resolved long before the election.

Conclusion

Our laws allow the challenge flag to be thrown regarding various aspects of election administration. The challenges raised by the Campaign in this case, however, came long after the last play or even the last game... The Campaign waited until after the election to raise selective challenges that could have been raised long before the election.

The time to challenge election policies such as these is not after all ballots have been cast and the votes tallied

Also the Wisconsin Supreme Court has flipped to the Democrats since this ruling. So expect a reversal before the 2024 election.

Nope, I stand by it. Lawsuits regarding voting procedures need to be brought before an election, not after.

That's why the lawsuit being discussed here focused only on the 2022 election.

And I still don't know why this is relevant over a year after the opinion came out.

Some were. Know what the rulings were? There’s been no election so no need for a ruling.

Second, drop boxes had been in use in Wisconsin for years prior to 2020, and no one bothered to bring a lawsuit before.

Weren’t they put out in locations near college campuses prior to the designated time. I mean, like weeks before.

I may be remembering this aspect incorrectly, but I definitely recall that there was some level of frickery regarding drop boxes and college campuses. I would suggest that this election was (D)ifferent.
