I don’t think this is in dispute any longer. Subsequent investigations, including one by Congress, have established, there were more shots fired, and more shooters than accounted for in the Warren Report.. The Warren Commission was established to reassure the American people that they had not witnessed a coup. Any evidence or inference inconsistent with the “lone assassin“ theory was discarded or disregarded. Again, the Warren Commission did what it was designed to do: Make the public feel safe while keeping them in the dark.
Once you accept that this was, in fact, a coup, the question becomes, who did it? Who benefited? I leave it to others to run through the lengthy list of people who were, in their minds, better off with JFK, dead, and LBJ in the White House. This much is certain, Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone, and it is highly unlikely he fired the fatal shot.
