Actually, he's the least worst candidate...

Here is how I rank the GOP candidates

Nelson
Wag
Hewitt
Schroder

Landry

Yes, Wag is tied too close to lobbyists. I do think Wag would work to fix the business climate and fix the income tax climate. I just hope it's not completely at the expense of consumers.

all I know is during Louisiana committee hearing, Landry brought in Robert Malone and RJK, jr. Landry fought for our kids against the covid vaccine school mandates. he has my vote.

If you think this is our problem, your doctor needs to finish your lobotomy.

We are so fundamentally far away from that decision having any real impact on our climb out of the basement, much less being the deciding factor of anyone's vote.

Jeff Landry is a clown. And not at all what I consider to be true conservative.

Wags said it best in his closing statement, if you think things are going great in Louisiana, then don’t vote for him. But, if you’d like someone with real private sector business experience, who’ll approach our problem with common sense conservative solutions, then vote Wags.

This might be the single most important point in the whole race.

By best, you mean the most like Jindal that set us back 10 years? ok. LABI only cares about the spoils system. They will tell you what you want to hear but ultimately they need you to pay taxes to their friends can get a subsidy, refundable tax credit, or some contract.

I respectfully disagree. Wags was Piyush Jimdal's Chief of Staff when Jindal was playing shell games with the state's money and leaving this state in a hell of a mess. As such, Wags was complicit in Jimdal's financial fecal extravaganza (chit show). I've not yet decided how, or for whom, I will vote, but it definitely will not be Waguespack.

Another 4 years of a Jindal crony. The State definitely does not need that.

I’d like to know if he actually forced his workers to get the vax. That tells me everything I need to know about him.

Out of all the issues we have to fix in this state….that is gonna determine how you vote?

Wait, don’t answer. Your handle name tells me everything. I’m sure you’ve accomplished a great deal in life and your parents are so proud.

What has he really done other than run his mouth?

He did something quite significant.
Landry has been in the forefront of the fight against Biden about suppressing conservatives on social media

I think this is very important.

Again, this has zero to do with fixing Louisiana specific issues.

All his (Landry) points of focus are about a 1/2 inch deep

Schroeder is GOAT

The fact that the actual best candidate is considered a “clown” shows why this state sucks so much

He was also Bobby Jindal’s Chief of Staff. Waguespack is by no means an outsider.

After Wags worked for big business interests as a lobbyist, he worked with the Jindal administration. No need to discuss that further...

against Covid mask and vaccine mandates.

He moved on to LABI which opposed legislation that would have protected people from vaccine mandates at work and at schools. Definitely not against the mandates, though he will claim he is. That kind of double-speak politician talk makes me want to puke. He and LABI made public comments against mandates, then when it came time to step up do the deed LABI went limp and showed their true colors by lobbying against those protections. BUT yea he's a nice guy...

Stop listening to the words coming out of their mouths and watch their actions.

LABI true colors

Waguespack’s “I’m an outsider” shtick is a flat out lie, he’s been knee deep in politics for a long time.

We would be fools to elect someone who has not at least been involved on the periphery. For a state congressman, that would be okay, but a totally green governor would be useless.

Here’s my question: do y’all really believe that any R besides Landry can make a runoff?

Certainly Landry is the only one with a shot at 50% in the first election, so isn’t there a danger that a bunch of people going for Wags will cause a runoff? And isn’t there some concern that the Democrats could win the runoff? Landry is very easy to attack, and national money will pour into the runoff.

This is starting to feel like JBEs election again.
