no, they never include those for any qb...otherwise LSU may have beaten Alabama

but JJ is under 50% on the season. it wasn't just yesterday. he has proven to not be very accurate

So consideraing it was his first start, his lack of practice time with the first team during the season and Miles' claim he was not ready, what grade would you give?

What grade do you give Lee for his performance this year? Better yet grade each on:

1. Pocket Awareness
2. Negative plays
3. Running ability
4. Passing ability
5. Telegraphing pass (staring down receiver)
6. Toughness
7. Leadership
8. Intelligence
9. Ballhandling
10. Coolness under pressure
11. Accuracy (Added)

LOL Miles.

and JL throws up 2-4INT's and he gets complemented.

Jordan Jefferson played the way a freshmen should play. Nothing flashy-dont win or lose the game. He rarely forced a ball in there and him not scrambling at the end was the only glaring freshmen mistake that will just come with lack of experience. Overall i was impressed with the way JJ handled himself on a big stage

this is Lee's last 6games if LSUfan needs a reminder on how JL has been playing.

JL last 6 games:
75/154 48.7% 1021yds
6td/11int

this includes vs Tulane where JL was 8-20 99yds 1td/1int when LSU ran for 200+.

I didn't feel like I had to take a deep breath every time our QB put the ball in the air. I think he is the man next year.

Think back to after the Auburn game. Most were saying similar things about Lee.

JJ played against the worst SEC defense and only completed 9 of 21 passes. He can run, which is great. But it is foolish to proclaim him the man.

He throws like a pitcher...from the wind-up, not the stretch...his slow delivery messes up the timing of a lot of pass plays

He does have a peculiar motion.....but that was a pretty nice touchdown dart he threw

C-

i think his runs made up for some of his inaccuracy

i am not going through 10 different criteria and give you different grads on 2 qb's in 10 different areas when you still haven't been able to tell me 1 thing JJ did yesterday in the passing game that was solid

he didn't throw with great anticipation, he was inaccurate and he held on to the ball too long.

if you want to look at JJ and Lee side by side, compare them both in the first game and a half they played against SEC competition

LEE
11/22 182-yds 2-td 1-int
18/27 261-yds 2-td 1-int

record 2-0, including a comeback win on the road against Auburn and a home win against Miss State

Jefferson

10/20 129-yds 1-td 1-int
9/21 143-yds 2-td 0-int

record 0-2, with losses to Arkansas and Ole Miss including a 4th quarter collapse against the worst defensive team in the conference

if you want to compare JJ and Lee compare apples to apples. look at what they have done parallel to each other...same amount of time

LSUFAN444, I'm curious about your opinion on the coaching. You seem to soncentrate so much on JJ. Maybe he didn't play VERY Well, but he did a good job of running the offense and not making major mistakes for his FIRST START AS A FRESHMAN.

I am not saying he is a great quarterback. He is just better than the alternatives. And I think he did pretty well for a true freshman in his first start in a road game, even if it was Arkansas.

being that Lee is hurt, i agree

but other than that what has he done better than Lee when looking at them side by side?

Through the first game and a half of SEC play Lee outplayed JJ by TONS!

who gives a shite about how Lee did his 1st game. that was 10 games ago. i'm more concerned with how lee has been playing and i gave you stats on his last 6 games.

or better yet his most recent game vs Ole Miss 4/12 49yds 1int and JL offers ZERO to the run game.

Doesn't stare down one receiver so that everyone knows where the ball is going. Didn't throw any floaters out to the linebackers. Double threat opens up the spread offense. Isn't that what we brought Crowton here for?

if you are looking to compare JJ's first SEC start to, how about looking on the same team, in the same year. seems to be like the best possible comparison

well you cannot compare jefferson to that because he hasn't played that much yet. all you can do is compare them parallel to each other. but i can see, logic doesn't mean much to you

"what aspect?"

The GAME/Season? You seem to be pretty own on individual players (JJ, C. Jones, etc). I agree they need to improve, but please tell me you think our coaching lost us that game and several others. Please!

I think JJ played well for his experience. He seems poised and has the ability to escape a rush and make the defense pay.
None of us know how JJ would have reacted if he had to run the gauntlet of Mississippi State, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Maybe he would have been as shell shocked at the end of the season as Lee. In regards to Lees regression, none of us know if he was 100% healthy. Remember Flynn having to play last year on one leg. His stats dropped as well. Miles would have a quarterback play and even run the ball even with a shoulder separation.

I personally think the coaches are the reason for the entire season being in the shitter..I mean NFL teams dont even go for a 64 yard field goal that was one of the dumbest decisions ive ever seen...with the arm that Jefferson had we had a better shot at the Hail Mary. Also if JJ starts the Tulane game this is a different season...Love how some of you clowns are talking about how bad the Arkansas D is...well how bad is Troy and Lee threw multiple ints that oh yeas one went back for 6. Miles should seriously be looked at and both the O and D coordinators should be fired period end of question
