Airline highs' Omega Smith commits to Bama

Our first choice is still Alpha Jones. Omega Smith was last on the list.

Son of Chris Carter. Like the X-files. Awesome! This Les Miles thing is starting to come together.

:nana:
YEAH! Who has more talent on the field than the Tigers? :dude:

Fire Crowton, and start JL next weekend.
Sounds like Miles doesn't want to rat out Crowton and Jefferson. Crowton sends Jefferson in on second down with only one play. No plan for what to do if that doesn't work. Coaching failure. And Jefferson is incapable of running a no huddle offense or calling a play or even setting up to spike the ball. This is a starting 3rd year quarterback in the SEC? Miles is ultimately responsible, but we are not going to replace him this week. So where are we going with this?

:banghead:
Jefferson:

10 passes
3 completions
2 interceptions

Can't win with that ratio.

New QB: C.J. Uzomah?

Posted by tigerdoc81 on 7/25/10 at 11:15 am
Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported this morning:

C.J. Uzomah, 6-foot-6, 240 pound quarterback at North Gwinnett, was scheduled to visit LSU today and will likely make a decision this week between the Tigers, Auburn and Florida, coach Bob Sphire said.

What makes Uzomah's situation intriguing is what position he might play in college. LSU has offered him as a pure quarterback; Auburn has offered him as a hybrid receiver-quarterback who would take shotgun snaps in the Gus Malzahn's "Wildcat" formation; and Florida has offered him purely as a wIde receIver.
So he, his coach, and his mentor all have initials BB?

There is something weird about this.

It was a win, win, win, with Benton getting PT, and Rueben gets his choice, and LSU gets the No1 receiver in the country.

Works for them. Works for me!

i posted 1002 last night. i don't know where it it now.

I hope he can decide what to do when the ball is in the air.
:banghead:
Tell me he is not going to OU.

One year with Sam Bradford. Then he is stuck in Oklahoma with Stoops watching the Tigers win National Championships on TV! That's got to hurt.

OU still in the picture? But they are not allowed to win the big games!
Got to be a lot of things going through that young man's head. If he was my son, I would tell him to go to school where he will be happy and he will do well.

Having said that, I think he would be happy wearing Purple and Gold!

Hi temp. 23 degrees and windy in CT today. That should help him make up his mind.

 :geauxtigers:
I think Ohio State did it with Boeckman and Pryor, but Jefferson opens up a lot more possibilities than Boeckman. You could come up with quite a playbook.

2 QB Offense Next Year?

Jefferson behind center. Shep on the wing. Crazy offense or tough to defend?

I am neither pessimistic nor sold on us winning at this point. We have the better athletes. Maybe our players and coaches want to prove something now after a disappointing season. Tech may be a little overconfident. Advantage LSU. Maybe JJ has big coming out! If so, LSU could roll it up big. On the downside, I am wondering who is getting the defense ready, how committed the departing coaches are to proving something, and whether they can come up with something better than we have seen most of this season. Could be a really interesting game either way.

Looked like Georgia's defense wasn't ready. Just wondering if we will get our assignments right. Lot of blown coverage this year. Now with the most of the defensive coaching staff having one foot out the door. Glad we have coaching changes on the way. But are we going to be ready for this game?

Then again, if we don't throw picks and keep our offense on the field...

AJC: "Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson plans to use some of the extra practice time before the New Year’s Eve Chick-fil-A Bowl to work on the passing game, specifically Run ‘n’ Shoot elements."

Could be interesting...
