Going to war isn't what you do in order to avoid going broke, or to fight a population problem. It'll get worse, not better.
China will do some CRAZY shite but I doubt it'll be war. We may be looking at some sort of mass culling within their own ranks. Like all old people. Maybe they could release a virus that targets old people even more than normal.

China will allow the elderly to lose every dime. Then, take state control of their former homes. Then force them to live in them. This sounds like a great deal, until you realize that most of these homeowners are Bernie Sanders type commies…they own 2, 3, 5, or more homes.

For those thinking that is giving them too much credit, keep in mind that Deng Xiopeng stated that “rare” earth elements are the equivalent of oil in the Middle East. Your tech stuff doesn’t work without them. That was 30+ years ago when he said that.

America, Mexico, and the Americas in general is full of rare earth elements, including lithium.
China has about double the Lithium that the US does, but Argentina has more than china and Chile has like 5x more than China. China aint shite.

We have plenty of "Rare Earth" minerals but it is nasty and environmentally horrific to extract it (involving acids typically and poisoning the hell out of the ground). So we just outsource it to China because they DGAF. It's kind of like recycling our plastic by shipping it to China for them to do the job which means it just ends up in the Pacific.
China is screwed because their demographics are beyond terminal and have been for a long time. Xi has just been shuffling the ball around but they are running out of moves. Collapse is inevitable, it's only a matter of when and how.

Not really. While “rare earth elements” are not actually rare, finding them in significant quantities, allowing for them to be feasibly extracted, is rare.
When considering the actual process (an no - China doesn’t give two shits about the environment), and subsequent government regulations, competing with China is a fools game.

but "Joe" has nothing to do with this at all - the powers that be tell that walking corpse what to do and say -
