Yeah but you still have the 2 original Tampico's restaurants.....So you have that going for you.
and you use to have the only Sonic with inside seating. But they managed to frick that up.

Tampico has restaurants in Morgan City, Bayou Vista, New Iberia and Lafayette, all are different in their own ways.
Tampico MC is partially closed due to some roof damage and water damage.
They are are on the verge of closing down for good.

New Iberia
New Iberia closed its doors a couple years ago. I don't see how Lafayette's is still open with all the better messycan joints in town.

I haven't thought about that in 25 years. Thanks for the memory.

Someone mentioned Vee's (Tavern) as one of the Franklin bars. Does anyone remember the Copa ?

The blimp and eating hamburgers at Ms Kaye's way back in the day.
Two of the things that stick out in my mind about Glencoe.

I remember my parents going to the Copa when I was a little kid. I think it closed in the mid 70s?

I am old enough to remember it being open when I was a kid. but closed sometime in the very early 80's. I think there was another attempt at a club there, before it became Teche Action.
I also remember a short lived teen club called Phase II that was in a building by the flea market on willow st.
