3rd and 6 middle of the 3rd, even if Nabors doesn't slip, it was still a terrible throw that would have been intercepted, to a receiver that wasn't going to be open.
I don't know. It was a come-back route. Nabors slipped when trying to turn back at the first down marker. Would it have been intercepted anyway? Maybe, but it would have needed a good play by the defender. Can't put too much blame on JD for this one.

My Brother in Christ that is not Malik Nabers. You claim to have watched all of this and broken it down and you can’t even correctly see a name and number. You also can’t spell.

Lol. BTJ gets smoked if that throw is made. Look inside.
zero chance. the inside defender is 3-5 yards away
LSU doesn't need Thomas to run 20 yards. They need him to catch the ball and fall down

He didn’t have time to do anything Lmaoooo that play should not be mentioned for a QB critic

Please just watch the interior defender on that play. He’s breaking on the route before the ball is thrown.

Agree with this. He didn’t play great, but also wasn’t terrible. He was a contributing factor to the loss but not the sole reason at all.

That’s great, now think about this - Nuss couldn’t beat him out, two years in a row

end of 1st quarter on a 1st and 10, just a terrible throw to an open guy. Read the blitz right and threw it to the right place, clean pocket, just abysmal throw that was bailed out for a PI call.
Wasn’t the PI because the receiver was pushed off the route? And hence wasn’t there?

Im watching it now. He's 3-5 yards away. If the ball is thrown, Thomas catches that and crosses the goal line before being touched.

Thomas should've caught that ball btw
I see this point being made as if it excuses the underthrow. Yes we're all aware a WR should catch a ball that hits them in the hands even if they have to wait for it. BTJ needs to come down with that ball. I haven't seen anyone say anything to the contrary.
But that doesn't just *poof* absolve Daniels of the poor throw. It was objectively a poor throw that made BTJ have to stop in his tracks and wait for it which allowed the DB to recover and at the very least get in BTJ's sightline.

People are going to see what they want to see on JD depending on their pre-determined opinion on him. If you don't like him, he played horrible and was the primary reason we lost. If you like him, he had a great game and everyone around him let him down. The reality is somewhere in between: Daniels had a very average night, much like just about every other player and coach on the field
Pretty accurate in my opinion.

i'm not saying he was the sole reason we lost with this thread.
I simply wanted to point out that nothing has really changed with him. He's still the same guy that won't throw the ball down field and has zero pocket presence.
We can without win games, and win big games with him at QB, with the right play calling.
He's still not a good QB though, adn we have to stop asking him to do things he simply isn't capable of doing.
I'm not here to bash him into the ground, but he is the QB of a big time program, so be prepared to take the heat.
Our Oline was terrible, and our WRs were probably worst than JD, but that doesn't excuse blaming the QB for a bad performance as well.

Poor throw and uncatchable are totally different. The play was there. The ball was there.
The ball was dropped
The ball was dropped

As soon as you said a throw to Lacy would be anything other than a drop I knew this was a stupid post

yes i know. YOu're not going to hear me hooping and hollering for Nuss either. He's been here for 3 years. If he couldn't take the starting job by now, then he never will.

Cool story or sorry that happened we ain’t reading all of that.

Calling out 5 bad plays out of 37 pass attempts isn’t really solidifying a QB change though.
+- a few

It doesn't. A perfect throw could've been a td...if he catches it.

You got some good points but here are a few I have issues with.
It’s obvious Nabors wasn’t his first read and he is starting to throw it to him but Verse beat Campbell and got to him first. Great play by Verse
Nabors doesn’t come wide open until Daniels is is flushed out of the pocket and the LB goes with him because he knows no QB is going to throw to the opposite hash he is rolling from.
If he’s so bad why do you need to use a play with an obvious drop to prove your point?
Still should be caught and zero excuse for this ball not to be caught. You guys want Daniels to throw the ball up to these receivers to catch jump balls but they don’t even catch them when they are wide open when it isn’t a perfect throw. I’m not saying you’re wrong but can you see how this would give the QB less confidence in those guys?
Again the receiver doesn’t come open until Daniels is flushed from the pocket and that is a tough throw over 4 defenders with a dude about to hit him. Probably should have still thrown it but it’s not an easy play.

Right before the end of the half, wide open Nabors right in front of his face, holds the ball and almost gives up a fumble deep in our own zone.

Last play before 1st half, Nabors is running across the field wide open, good chance to score a TD.

3rd and 10 and punted after this. While this one was a drop, and could have been a TD of Lacy catches it, it's a single high safety with Nabors already beating his man up the right side. Throw the ball up to him. He looks right at him and doesn't throw it.
If he’s so bad why do you need to use a play with an obvious drop to prove your point?

end of 3rd, just a terribly underthrown ball to a wide open Thomas for a TD.

2nd and 15 possession after the int and FSU going up by 14, and he's got Lacey running wide open across the middle, takes a sack.
