Blood donations during trt

Donated twice now.
Each time only dropped me .2
Which means 14 more donations, at this rate, to get to a level of 15.
Do I need to worry about Iron supplements?

what do you mean level of 15? Are you trying to lower hematocrit levels?

Where do you live? Did you need a prescription?

Yes. Was at high 17s. Supposed to be going to 15.
Will probably stop at my natural level which is 15.5ish

BR area, yes and no.
They sent one over that's as needed. So i can basically donate whenever I want as long as my levels are elevated.

No doctor here, but you are probably referring to hemoglobin/RBC levels, as hematocrit is a % that falls around 45-52% for normal levels.

Sorry. I was half dead earlier.
Yes.
Hematocrit levels were 53.5 and then 53.8 at day of first draw.
She sent over an order to get my minimum hemoglobin level to 15.
Hemoglobin only dropped the aforemention amount after two donactions. While they did not disclose hematocrit levels, my hemoglobin remains high enough that I could continue donating.

You drinking plenty of water? High hct can be an indicator of dehydration.
How often ya injecting? Apparently more frequent infections can help with elevated H&H.

“Normal” RBC/hemoglobin ranges for adult males not on TRT are 14-18 g/dL and 40-54% for hematocrit. Both of your levels are normal to high normal. Was there an underlying medical reason your doctor wants to reduce them? Being high normal is still considered in range.
My values on TRT have ranged between 15.7-17.5 and 49-52% over the last 18 months. My endocrinologist hasn’t been concerned when we have discussed blood work. I do donate double RBC three times a year, which has lowered it as a secondary effect (peace of mind). I donate primarily because I’m O negative blood type.
How was your ferritin level? Blood donations can crater it while still having high RBC/hematocrit.

It’s not a direct correlation. Just because you only saw a slight drop your first two dumps does not mean it will stay that way. You could drop 2 full points easy from a single donation. Good chance one of your readings was off.

your levels are within range, why are you trying to get them down?
how much red meat have you been eating?
how much water you drinking?

There are slightly out of range on the labcorp results as well as through my primary.

I can track but meat average per week:
5ish lbs red meat (usually 50/50 bison beef)
1-2lb sausage
.5lb of bacon
2-3lbs lean pork
Organ meats are only in boudin and usually have two links a week as a treat.
quote:
how much water you drinking?
Minimum 96oz per day of water
1 energy drink at 5.
Small Pot black coffee
And usually at least one 32oz gatorade zero these days.
64 oz of lime water at night
I had rhabdo a few years ago and I don't frick around with not being hydrated.

change out the red meat for chicken for 3-4 weeks and retest and see how that is. More than likely you will lower your hematocrit, but i dont think it is an issue TBH.
and look it may be slightly out of range but so is every single adult male in Colorado
how is your BP?
read this from dante and start taking nattokinase if you are worried about stroke

For reference I was at 20.2. And I definitely felt it. 4 dumps in 10 days had me down to 15.
They don’t want you donating more than every couple months but I neglected it for a couple years and almost stroked out.
