I don't remember his named being called during the game, which can be a good thing for a corner. FSU was determined to pick on Chestnut all night, so I'm assuming Alexander had good coverage?

Wilson and Coleman had a huge height advantage over Chestnut and our safeties. Reminded me of 2009 Georgia targeting AJ Green when he was covered by Chris Hawkins and not PP7. That defense took a huge step forward in 2010 with Morris Claiborne lining up at corner opposite of PP7. Quarterbacks were forced to throw towards one of them. Pass Defenses are only as strong as their weakest link.

If Denver Harris can get his act together, then our pass defense will have the potential to greatly improve.

Alexander got burned on the first Coleman td. Beat on an in breaking route from off coverage and then missed the tackle. He got spun around in coverage against Johnny Wilson from the slot. Outside of those two plays he was fine def the best db we had out there

At least until he got a turf facial in the end zone in the 4th quarter

He did miss a tackle that allowed Coleman to score and got bailed out another time when the FSU receiver dropped the ball he wasn't even close to being in position. I think they definitely went after Chestnut because of the size difference.

Not sure what game you were watching but Zy got abused. Also played with horrible technique. Coaching on the back end needs to be better. Steeples better tighten up in recruiting corners and coaching them up. Chestnut should not be playing on the outside. He is a slot corner.

Not a single member of the secondary had a good night.

I don't know what game you were watching but i think most of the Td's were against Chestnut but Alexander was covering on the first Td by Coleman and it didn't help Sam took a horrible angle to let him score. I didn't say he did good the OP said that i was just remembering a few things that i remembered about Alexander during the game.

Secondary wasn’t as bad as people are saying. First touchdown was bad tackling but most of the others were good coverage by Chestnut. Travis and Coleman just made great plays.

The lack of pass rush is way more concerning to me. Everyone on here was hyping up our front 7 based on guys like Savion Jones, Ovie, and Swinson being better than last year (Ovie and Swinson were average players at UT and Oregon) and they are clearly still just average players. No Maason obviously hurts a ton but outside of him and Wingo our DTs are also underwhelming. Guillory and Jefferson were getting abused in the second half.

Honestly, Sam was probably the best DB out there. In terms of corners maybe but thats not saying much.

Rolled on the ground after like he was about to throw a 5-year-old temper tantrum too.

But other than a few plays he was pretty good.
