Is this recommended for Louisiana lawns? It seems like it would be good stuff to enrich soil.

Humic would help any lawn soil or garden, but its a slow process not an overnight fix.

Its the best way to break down heavy clay soils.

Compared to the cost of aeration and top dressing its actually pretty cheap from a cost and effort standpoint.

what that be good to add to a centipede lawn after core aeration as part of the top dressing?

The Anderson’s products are expensive for what they are(Humic DG, Humichar, etc). If you have a siteone near by make an account online and pickup Lesco Carbon Pro G. I’ve had really good results with it and it’s $25 a bag.
