After it, he said the attack was a “good start” but that the rioters should have shown up armed and “[taken] the country back the right way.”
[Rehl’s defense attorney] claimed that Rehl and other rioters were acting on former President Trump’s false claims of election fraud and questioned why the former president does not face charges of seditious conspiracy, as well.
“What they’re guilty of is believing a president who said the election had been stolen from them,” Pattis said of Rehl and other rioters.

Dude they're buckling to overwhelming pressure from the state. This only proves the unequal justice that has infested our legal system.
I'm for DeSantis (today) but the election was def stolen and this is definitely bullshite coersion. If you don't agree with that then you're in the minority of GOP voters.

I think 15 years is outrageous for spraying a cop in the face, but there’s a reason sentencing guidelines called for 30 years.
It was one big LARP that people got sucked into. It was dangerous and stupid, and toed the line of being an insurrection, but this guy didn’t actually show up with a gun and start blasting.
I think a year sentence would have been appropriate for what he did.
