Have fertilized Centipede once this year. Is now a good time for Round 2?

I did my second fert here in NC in early August with the Sta Green 16-0-10. It’s been rough after the drought throughout the south. It didn’t respond as well as it did back in May. I hit it with a 0-0-25 liquid fertilizer a couple weeks ago when I put down some centipede seed and it’s actually helped big time. I’ve had more weeds this year growing in bare spots but I’m not stressing it. The Santee centipede seed I laid down a couple weeks ago has taken off in some areas.

Now this week is rained straight into a tropical storm

Depends on how it looks. Centipede is one of those grasses you kinda leave alone if it looks ok.

I would not. If you have an early freeze, your centipede won’t go into dormancy as easily with that excess nitrogen and will get destroyed by the frost.

It actually looks the best it has in years. Used 15-0-15 months ago instead of higher nitrogen stuff I used to use.

Was just wondering if I should get greedy

Bermuda is also mixing in so will see which one wins out

I purchased enough fertilizer for a late July spread on Centipede.. Never did it due to the weather. I may pass on the second drop this year.
Still will go with a pre emerge in late September.
I have not used any post emerge either due to weather. Weeds are not what I want them to be right now

It’s actually not crazy hot here after the storm so I’m gonna hit the lawn with some Image this weekend

In late September/early October will lay down the Yard Mastery pre emergent and spray some more Image for stop any cool season weeds.
