Cooking one at my house and will be ready for 4ish. Quick shower then headed for an hour drive to watch. If i leave at 430 what the best way to transport. Pans with foil or will that dry out. TIA

When i was cooking in 20 for different places i just did foil pans topped with foil.

They were still violently hot after an hour drive.

No need for ice chest. Pack in pans cover in heavy foil and roll. Can wrap in an old towel or blanket if really concerned

Foil pans. Cover it. Transport in an ice chest.

Crazy how long things stay warm in an ice chest. I put 2 pork butts in a chest around 9am and didnt shred until 4pm. They were still hot.

Covered foil pan wrapped in a beach towel has worked for me.

If you're using foil pans, it's a good practice to wrap the entire pan in platic wrap first before covering with the foil lid.

The plastic wrap gives you an extra layer of protection from spills and creates a moisture barrier to keep it from druing out.

The questions I see on this board. Good grief. Cognitive thought is a thing of the past.

A little late to the thread but if you take a few bricks (I wrap in foil to keep it sanitary) and put in the oven at 300 for about 30 minutes, wrap in towel, and place in bottom of cooler you got yourself a hotbox. I lay another towel on top and bottom to keep it from touching cooler or food directly. Just place food in foil pans and leave on top of bricks. If you are worried about melting the cooler you can keep the oven at 180-200 degrees and it'll still be better than an empty cooler.
