Well which does he prefer. The right supporting him or the left outright tearing his @ss apart.

He wrote a song about the conservative political politicians he doesn't support but it has been the conservative side of society that have shown massive support of his message.
Conversely, the limousine liberal elite political class have abandoned his societal concerns and the progressive side of society have attacked him.
This mght be a good opportunity to reassess his political alignment.
