I have 22 mature pecans and 12, 60 year live oaks. Large limbs on the ground and dead spots in all the trees. This heat is a mofo of the pecan trees!

Hopefully a bit of rain falls soon.

I’m 99% sure I lost my peach tree I was planning on planting next month. I was watering it almost daily too. I have some bushes out front I don’t think will pull through.

I'm down several shrubs for sure. The lack of rain hasn't helped, but I think even with the watering. The non-stop extreme heat is taking its toll. Most of these plants aren't even getting a 75F breather overnight.

I have an Arbequina olive tree. They’re supposed to be very drought resistant. It was starting to look rough. Started watering it and my citrus trees once a week.

With the exception of some knockout rose bushes, damn near my entire landscaping needs to be replaced - front, side, and back yards. Next spring is going to be expensive.

Weather underground shows Baton Rouge may get a decent about of rain Monday. Feel like I've got stuff on life support till then.

Lost two huge limbs from my large pecan tree within the first two weeks of August. The largest section leans toward the house. I bit the bullet and had it taken down this week. I'm gonna miss the shade it provides for yard work days, but oh well.

Pecan trees aren’t good to have in a yard if the limbs can fall on your house.

Passed by pecan orchards around Colfax yesterday.Bunches of limbs on the ground, some of them pretty big.
