If you are gonna use IPTV, invest in great equipment, not a firestick.

There's a 'how to guide' on IPT for setting up your Plex server so IPTV will show up under 'live TV'.

you will need 'plex pass' but if this works, it eliminates all the issues; there's a plex client for virtually every device.

i'll be digging deeper into this because if i can get IPTV to work through plex, its a game changer and I'm suddenly interested in IPTV.

I've tried a couple times over the years and gave up both times. Let us know if you figure it out.

there's a thread on IPT about it that is pretty recent; the OP has modified the instructions several times to address certain aspects.

my concern is (a) plex cracking down on 3rd party providers and (b) is this baling wire and popsicle sticks holding it together?

in theory it shouldn't be too difficult to plug into the live TV option with a streaming m3u...

i especially like the 'virtual hd homerun' emulation on that github above. that's killer.

Too much of a pain IMO.

TiviMate works better and is far easier to setup.

so how do you get it on roku?

you think its easier to try & jailbreak various firestick and roku devices than having it under a supported umbrella (aka plex) which works on virtually any device with zero installation/developer mode hoops to jump through?

trying to see how installing tivimate on every single device is easier.

eta i'm honestly asking; i've used plex with hd-homerun and a live tuner and it was amazing so if everything works in that app, its much more user friendly & seamless for everyone. running threadfin (xteve) on the server allows plex to point to the XML file and generate a virtual tuner which can then generate a guide (custom with just the channel-list you create) and then record/dvr the IPTV streams just like any TV show recorded from comcast. note the virtual tuner on the sreenshot below.

That you don't do. You either use a fire stick or something else. Roku is the worst OS/device when it comes to piracy.

If you want an AIO solution like that, Emby integrates IPTV a lot easier than Plex.

You just install the tivimate app on the device and sign in via xtream.codes or m3url. Probably not easier than plex but takes 5 minutes and you're done forever unless your credentials change of course.

I have zero issues with a 4K Firestick using IPTV. But that's all I have on there. When you start adding Netflix and all the other apps is when you start having issues.

That's not what I mean. I have like CBS in arizona, san francisco....blah blah I only want Baton Rouge. I can do that if I just click on the BR one. However, there are like 5 different streams for CBS in Baton Rouge. They have letters at the end like (A), (F), (SP), (Y),
