If the GOP is corrupt why is being called a RINO a bad thing?

A thought that hit me after seeing Loomer call DeSantis a RINO, for the 1000th time. If the GOP as a party is bad and corrupt why is being a Republican in Name Only a bad thing?
Wouldn't that be a good thing? Use the GOPs apparatus to win elections but then don't do what they want? Isn't that what Trump has done in the past and is currently doing now? Let's face it, he's not truly a Republican, if anything he's left of center, which we can debate if that's an issue or not but wouldn't that make him a RINO?
Just some food for thought on a slow Friday at work for me.

RINO, GOPe and "establishment" have become like "racism" - - - used so often with zero meaning that the terms/acronyms are empty now. Think about it - the Republican primary candidate for president that's polling 70% and has 75% of the endorsements of Republican members of congress and state houses, who also grew the hell out of permanent Washington in his first term - - - he's the "anti-establishment" candidate.

Their leader is the biggest RINO of all time but they want to call true republicans RINO as some sort of insult. They need to drop the make believe republican label and just create a new party and call themselves what they are, Trumpers. They don’t have allegiance or devotion to any set of principles but rather to one man.

That's a good point and I tend to agree. My only disagreement would be how often RINO is thrown around often times incorrectly.
