Ryan shined during camp. He’s working with the 1’s and hasn’t come off of the field very much. The interception on Garrett Nussmeier was another big play from a player who’s looking ready to breakout this season

Need him to what he was touted as to maximize our secondary

I hope he takes that step forward. He’s always had the potential

The kid was shining on varsity when still in the 8th grade. He has the tools and the football sense.

I think maybe he just needed what happened to him last season to fully appreciate that as physically gifted as he is, he is not the best athlete on the field anymore. So he needed to sharpen up his fundamentals and pick up his cues quicker.

I remember his recruiting cycle when there was a very real chance he’d go to Bama, and how elated we were when he committed.

Some players just take a little longer to adjust. He was a 5 star for a reason.

If he can figure out how to finish plays, he will be very good.

He got a lot of grief last year but he was almost in the right place and in good position. Just had trouble finishing and had a couple big plays where the WR just made a better play but Sage was right there.

No matter how good or bad he is I can guarantee you one thing. Every single time someone catches a pass on him there will be a minimum of 5 threads started on here about it. The rant has their DB every year.

His problem was consistency but he’s a natural playmaker. Once he gets the little things down his nose for the ball has never been an issue.

he’s small, slow, and lacks instincts and twitch.

Aaron Anderson had him in a blender in the slot today. But honestly theres not many slot corners who can cover him.

I think nearly everybody hopes he improves his play, but he has certainly not performed like the five star "ball hawk" some credit him as being.

In two full seasons, he has 3 starts, 29 total tackles (15 unassisted), three passes defended and ZERO interceptions. I disagree about him being small (5' 11", 202), but he does not look to have great speed. Maybe experience will help him turn the corner.

He's smaller than Danny DeVito?
