RINO

quote:

The field is expected to solidify this week when candidates qualify in Baton Rouge for the race to replace the term-limited Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards.

Analysts say the race has an open lane for a more moderate conservative — a strategy no candidate has yet to embrace in earnest. In a recent interview, Hewitt made a bid to seize that lane by pledging to appoint Democrats to cabinet positions if she’s elected.

Yes, because what I want is to elect someone who will be giving plum positions to people whose views are diametrically opposed to my own.

fricking idiot.

The one thing that’s synonymous with failure in Louisiana IS DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP.

We need a much different direction, one that more democrats is not going to get you to. The history of Louisiana tells you that much, but intelligence and changing direction from that which is a PROVEN Failure is not our strong suit, so I hold no hope out for anything ever changing in this state. That’s just the way it is, because it’s always been that way, and Louisiana never learns this very simple lesson.

Welp, I can rule her out immediately then.

Louisiana’s smartest constituents leave every year after graduation.
Louisiana keeps voting for the same failed policies.

Not a coincidence. Dumb people are allowed to vote so we’ll always have failed policies and backwards momentum.

Louisiana's problem is that we have too many "Republicans" who are Democrats and vote and act like Democrats, the last thing we need is someone saying they'd work with Democrats, we need to purge the Republicans ranks already not further bend the knee.

Louisiana needs someone whos left the state for a while then come back. It needs someone who has NO friends within the state and doesnt care about names or whos who in any city. Until then this is what we will have.

I think this is the deal. She is very conservative. She is the author of the redistricting map that is the cause of all the lawsuits. That was definitely not a "RINO" map.

But she isn't getting a lot of traction, and Landry has the right lane to himself (well, Schroder is trying) so she is trying the engineering "problem-solver" route that includes working with Democrats.

She had my vote given her commitment to dump the O&G lawsuits. Not any more.

They are all Democrats. Even the "Republicans" so there is that.

I like Nelson and Schroeder.

I believe both of them to be conservative.

It will be an uphill climb for anyone not named Landry though.
