Just clicked on news article I saw on the Louisiana reddit page and it was behind a paywall

It's a shame what the Advocate has become. One of life's simple pleasures was reading the paper with a cup of coffee in the morning, and the Sunday comics because they were in full, living color.

Depending on the current print size, you might need a few weeks of papers to get enough to light that pit.
Otherwise, most papers today are no more than a leaflet on Famous Jewish Sports Legends.

I hate that stupid SE Advocate they throw out in the SE part of the parish for free.
It just a few pages with cr&p and ads.
One day the guy was driving around throwing out to deliver. I threw the first one he threw out away. He made a second pass and threw another one on my driveway. I threw that one away. He came back and threw out another one. I threw it in the back of his truck.

In Alabama, al.com is laughably bad. They don’t even try the paywall route because they no that no one would ever pay. I really don’t know what they are trying to do or how they stay in business. It’s a shame because the Birmingham News used to be a good newspaper.
