Oh, he's not wrong. There are a small handful of long time lefties here stirring the pot, but that makes sense...we'd be doing the same if we were regs on a Left leaning board that was 95% against our views. They are just trolling for fun.

the problem is the VAST majority of the rest of us that prefer DeSantis have LONG histories of clearly not being what they claim, so it's mostly just lazy bullshite being spewed rather than addressing our actual points.

Sure, the other day one of them quoted Tarzana as a Ronbot. However, I'm curious which others of us are somehow "pedocrats" and leftists because we dare prefer a more conservative candidate to be the nominee.

I've never understood why Trump always bashed on Desantis. They're both the reason why FL has taken a major shift towards being a red state since 2016. If they could somehow become allies, they could be unstoppable and the Democratic Party in Florida would collapse.

None of us...it's easier tossing out the stupid label than addressing points directly.

Ego.

In November 2022 DeSantis was wildly popular and had just routed Crist by 20 points in Florida. Word was getting around that he'd make a viable alternative to Trump in 2024, so Trump needed to nip that shite in the bud right then and there...

He flipped overnight and started suggesting DeSantis was horrible...forgetting he'd loudly praised him basically the day before, and counted on his base to ignore reality and just echo his talking point.

He's actually been correct in that most HAVE ignored reality and just echoed his talking points.

Keep in mind that the poster making this claim the most took his children to Disney during pride. We know this because he came to this board to brag about it thinking it would make DeSantis look bad.

Exactly. That SPECIFICALLY has come out in the past few days. The donors know where there money is going and its not to actually beat Biden.

It isn't for ground game.

its not for ballot harvesting. Its not for ads.

Its for paying legal bills for Trump associates and himself. INCLUDING: Paying for Jason Miller to fight Child Support payments.

So Trump is doing what he needs to do: Preying on little people who believe what he says, even though its a complete lie.

It's fricked up to weaponize the massive legal bills Trump is facing due to a corrupt DOJ. But, I'm glad you are doing it. It defines you in a way that won't resonate positively with the voting public.

Imagine having a 9 digit legal bill to pay and STILL outperforming your opponent who has access to unlimited funds.

And again, I'm glad you've taken that position. You are suggesting that the big donors are more meaningful than individuals that donate their hard earned money.

It's everything that has been said about Desantis. You guys are beholden to the money. You are anti-main street. You are anti-middle class. To you, those that donate money are being preyed upon.

I've got news for you. Big donor donations are a huge negative except for the value in the money itself. It comes with strings attached.

I give credit to Trump. At his rallies he is funny and says things that other GOP pols won't say. That's a talent. But you must understand what Trump says at his rallies he either has no intention of following through with (usually) or no idea how to follow through with (sometimes). It's performance. It's a routine.

Driving division between potential R voters is so ridiculous.

As much as I’d like Trump to be the president, his ego has made him so many enemies not just with the Democratic Party but the GOP as well

I'm suggesting that most big donors are much savvier than the vast majority of people.

Also, Desantis has MANY little donors as well, he's just ALSO getting way more large donations than Trump.

What has changed is public perception. I was on the Ron train, but I am not really anymore. He hasnt done enough to move the needle and comes off brash and authoritative

Genuinely curious here...can you flesh this out some?

Also, it's weird hearing DeSantis being called "brash" or "authoritative" when I assume your alternative is Trump.
