Any gym reccommendations for the woodlands/spring area. I normally like to lift at lunch and shower up after. Clean showers and locker room is a big one for me.

Loved Villa Sport, but too far a drive, now.

I’m at VillaSport. I like it but overpriced for the quality of management at facility. I heard the Corporate office visited recently for first time since Covid so hopefully will improve.

Lifetime will open later this year and will be even pricier but also nicer.

I really want to try out Villa Sport but that monthly price is a tad high if it is just me using the facility. I’m currently using 24 Hour Fitness and I don’t recommend them since it gets overran quickly on the squat racks and bench press.

I was a member of the Lifetime here for a long time when I was working down by the Galleria because they had a super nice facility down by Greenway Plaza. Maybe their highest level club. It was handy to get down there early before the traffic and get ready for work but it was obscene expensive. If it is an upper tier Lifetime, it will be legit. They are nice, well run clubs. However, if it is a lower tier Lifetime, they find a way to attract rif raff. Since I live in Kingwood, they have 2 close by the house and the one in Atascocita is a bit sketchy.

I try to get money’s worth at Villa. Weights, outdoor section on nice days, basketball pickup games early mornings, group exercise classes, sauna/steam room/hot tubs, watching sports while there since I cut cable and no ESPN.

Pool area is nice also with good burgers. Will occasionally get alcoholic beverages during summer when they offer. They had more of a selection last summer but the guy running it left.

The Lifetime that's almost complete here in Shenandoah is supposed to be the creme de la creme of all Lifetime gyms. From what I understand, it's a first of it's kind, all in one facility that will have remote office spaces and upscale living facilities in addition to what the typical top of the line Lifetimes offer. It's likely to be quite a nice gym but obscenely expensive.

Villa is a decent spot but also overpriced as someone else mentioned.

Legacy, which is now called LGND, is a different type of gym altogether and doesn't have any of the frills/country club-esque experiences like the other two. It's more hardcore with unique machines, loud music, more BBers/powerlifters, etc. I have memberships to a few different spots and like Legacy/LGND the best, but you need to understand what you're getting into as all these options vary quite a bit depending on your expectations.

They just opened one in Sienna Plantations area and I think it's pushing $330/month. It currently has a waiting list to join. That may be family plan. I'm not sure about single. I think I've heard about $200.

That’s about the same as what I saw for a family plan at Villasport, I’m getting tired of how crowded 24 Hour Fitness has become and the mobs of teenagers.

I heard Villa in TW will be repairing and/or renovating in October to help compete with Lifetime.
