Let me give you an alternative. Ocean Springs or Bay St Louis Mississippi. I would also take Covington area over New Orleans and Lafayette area over BR

Thinking your a troll but if not…Nothing like Buckhead anywhere that’s not Dallas or Houston. Your only option in Nola area is probably the mandeville Covington area

Because it’s a large city in Tennessee…..like my comment was mentioning.

West TN is a different state.

Large cities….like my question was about?

Knoxville and Chattanooga are both comparable to BR, so large enough for the OP.

Lol not to shite on you but I googled Chattanooga Crime Rate and this is the first thing that popped up.

quote:

With a crime rate of 74 per one thousand residents, Chattanooga has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes

Of course, believe everything on the internet but….doesn’t make me think TN is any better the the other southern states and their larger cities and crimes rates. Hard to judge Mississippi since with even their one “large city” shouldn’t be considered a city with how shitty it is.

Definitely a troll.

1) hates the demographics of Atlanta so wants to move to worse demographics of btr/Nola

2) wants to be next to international Airport, but logistically outside of living in a city with a hub(Atlanta, Charlotte, etc), it's all basically the same since you have to connect

3) wants fishing, hunting which sure you can get in and around btr and Nola, but could have the same in any coastal state (ga, fl, SC,nc) with much better demographics

4) can work remotely but somehow to dart lands on south la?

Do you like third world hell holes? If so, you’ll love Louisiana. The entire state but for a few pockets in Metairie and the Northshore is awful.

not trolling at all… I think you are misconstruing demographics with the rap clout chasing urban culture that has invade Buckhead… Dodge Charger Hellcats driving down peachtree and side streets at 100 mph all hours of the nighy, ghetto arse women rolling up and fighting each other in fine dining establishments

The upward mobility associated with the rap adjacent industry and opportunity in Atlanta has created a nouveau riche class that combines unfettered consumerism with hip hop culture into this weird class that is morally bankrupt .

I feel like its less complex and nuanced in Louisiana.

Anyways how is Meterie CC vs Tchefuncta vs Beau Chene ?

This kind of stuff never happens in BR or Nola.

Chattanooga has some bad spots, but that's still way behind BR or NOLA.

Seriously, this state is awful. I’m from here, and I have no idea why I stay. I definitely wouldn't choose to move here. The state’s only growth industry is legal services. We are a third world hell hole.

Think you’re still not getting the picture of the comment I made that you replied too.

Outside of FL and the Carolinas, are there any other southern states with large cities that aren’t bad with crime. Sure, Nashville/Chattanooga aren’t as bad as Nola/BR. That’s like saying though you can play basketball better than the guys in the special Olympics. Well yeah, of course. Doesn’t mean you’re still good.

I know what you mean about Buckhead. I worked there this winter, very nice amenities but hardly the place you’d want to walk around with your youngsters.

I’ve worked in several big cities across the U.S., if money wasn’t an issue I’d seriously consider Fairfax, VA.

Knoxville still fits, as does Lexington, so my original answer is still correct. As it always had been.
