for U.S. Senate? While he did not make a hard commit on 10 years, he suggested that time frame when he was campaigning for his first run for U.S. House and that time period is approaching.

While he has done a fairly decent job in his first term, Tuberville has had his share of gaffes. Britt won, but we all know she is a lobbyist at heart, as is her husband.

Gary Palmer is Alabama's most conservative elected Rep in DC. Seems like he could take on one of these and win. He'd probably only serve one term, two at the very most. Just not sure that he wants to stay in DC that long.

Any thoughts or insight?

I met Palmer in D.C. and he was very nice and accommodating. He knew I was from Louisiana and when leaving I told him that I loved his purple tie and he replied “I bet you do.” The LSU/Bama rivalry is omnipresent!

So now Cult45 has turned on Tubs? Britt was elected 5 mins ago and has a good bit left in her term.

Geez, some of you people are batshit crazy.

Gary Palmer is great. But, he’s the 4th ranking member in the House GOP. Policy Chair. Does he want to give that up for a senate run?

He ought to be House Speaker, to be honest.

Same lobby money bought Britt and Tuberville. Unless Tubs gets a conscience about spending or the Alabama chamber of commerce feels the flubs are too unsavory for their national masters, I don't see the push for a change. Palmer will be chasing the same money if he runs, so it really doesn't make much of a difference either way.

Needs to be the first one to go if anyone is going to run against one of the two...

Why cast your lot with Gary Palmer?

If it's conservative you want, go whole hog. Who knows? Judge Roy Moore could once again prove a viable candidate, and his conservative credentials are unmatched.

Palmer is all bark no bite. He says the right stuff when interviewed but not huge fan.

Tuberville has been great. Silly comments aside.

Britt was installed because she's little Shelby.

Pass on Palmer.

I don’t think Palmer is gunning for Senate even though he’d make a great Senator.

Steve Marshall has been rumored to run for Governor but he might challenge Tuberville instead. Battle should be our next Governor but it’s Ainsworth’s to lose unfortunately.

It’s GD joke that Kay Ivey will have served over ten years as governor. No other politician in the country could go silent for weeks and not have to answer for it but somehow the voters & media in Alabama keep giving her a pass.
