Moved from BSL to Nashville 11 years ago. Have spent a ton of time in East TN. If I’d been given the option, we would’ve moved to Farragut/“Muraville” area. Knoxville MSA is growing at a break neck pace because people want to relocate to TN and Nashville isn’t nearly as affordable as it was pre Covid. Little known bonus is you’re sitting at the tail end of EST so you get sunlight until damn near 9pm in the summers.

I've experienced 2 in my 20 years up here. The first was within the first couple of weeks. Very small, felt like a large truck driving down the street.

Haven't had a hurricane yet.

East Tennessee has minor quakes all the time. The Eastern Tennessee Seismic Zone has had a pretty good sized one (4.6) near Knoxville back in the early 70s.
