In years past, there would be a players only meeting when things started to unravel. In this meeting, the players can identify problems looking at them in their own perspective. Then, a few of the players would be chosen by the rest of the team to approach the head coach only and lay it on him.

This is not a mutiny, but an honest way to identify the problems and suggest remedies to the only one that can solve the problems identified. Most players only meetings are effective.

I think they already had one. I just hope they are not more ready for the year ending then winning the remaining games

Lets not panic in the short run. Miles will make changes. We have no experience at QB. My main concern is the lack of emotion and follow through on defense. Florida was 9-4 last year. We need one more year to get these young guys ready.

You won't be making that comparison to UF after the Hogs put it to us next Friday.

Horrible comparison. Last year, they lost 3 SEC games by less than 7 points each and then lost their bowl game by less than a touchdown. We've lost 4 SEC games by a total of 68 points, or an avg. of 17 points per game and we may not be done losing yet.

Why do you guys say it's a bad comparison? Do you think Alabama from last year is also a bad comparison? Cause it looked really bad for them at the end of last year and they've bounced back admirably.

I'm really curious as to why you thik it's a bad comparison. Do you think Coker or Dinardo are better comparisons? If so, why. I'm trying to learn here.

The reason that UF is not a good comparison is that they had to replace their entire defense last year and still went 9-4, despite playing all freshmen and sophmores on D. This year LSU has a ton more experience on defense than Florida did last year.

Also Florida never got blown out last year the way the Tigers have this year.

This LSU team looks more like the Bama team that lost all those games the 2nd half of last year than it does the UF team. We would be lucky to be as good as UF was last year.

Players are the only people capable of truly identifying exactly what the problems are with the team. If they care enough, they will be able to specifically identify problems with offensive and defensive calls, confusion on the field, playing the right people, etc. More than anyone else, they are truly plugged into the team and can offer some workable suggestions.

IMHO, Miles is close to losing this team which, once that happens, you never get them back. A good friend of mine who has been a position coach, a coordinator, a head coach, and an AD at big-time programs told me this.

try the fact that uf didn't roll over and die like this team has in mult games. we have lost by 30,14,6, and 18. uf wasn't losing by that much and they were actually not rolling over and just giving up.
