I have a two month old Springfield Hellcat and I like everything about it, except I just don’t shoot it well. It’s the good looking two toned model and I have a Safariland holster for it. It’s only got about 200 rounds through it so it’s practically a new gun, with original packaging. I want to try the Canik Mete MC9 bc I always shoot Caniks well. The gun and holster cost about $650 total from basspro.

What’s the best way to sell this thing for a decent price? I’m in Katy Texas if that helps. None of my buddies need another pistol so word of mouth has failed.

Just jokes i just quit doing that seeing how eventually they comin for them

I’d say post all that info and put on LA sportsmen or similar website in Texas. I would avoid gunbroker

Bayoushooter maybe? Last I looked their classifieds were still pretty active. I bought a couple guns off of there in the last few months.

Nevermind, just noticed TX.

Join Texas Gun Talk or Texas bow hunter. They have classifieds but you may have to be a member for a certain amount of time or have so many posts in order to sell something.

If priced right the gun will sell pretty quick on those sites.

Find a local outdoor board and do a FTF transaction with someone with plenty of positive feedback.

Selling a firearm on GB is a huge PIA now. UPS and FEDEX will not ship any firearms unless you have a firearms shipping permit from them. I found this out the hard way last November. I sold a rifle and went to my local UPS distribution center where I had shipped many in the past and was told I had to apply online for the gun shipping permit. I did and got denied for no apparent reason. I talked to my local Congressman and he said they bowed under pressure from the Biden admin to do it.

You can lie about what you are shipping but if it gets lost you won’t have any recourse on insurance. With the way those assholes lose packages today you are taking a huge risk.

You could get a local gun shop to ship it but they are more than likely going to want to charge you a transfer fee to do it which will eat into your sale.

Read more about it here

Hold tight on the MC9, lots of issues right now. I’ve put several hundred through mine, FTF every 15-20 rounds along with failure to return to battery. Canik is sending me a new spring, if that doesn’t work I have to send it in. Honestly, do some searching, issues are out there. I regret the purchase, I would not trust this gun with my life. Wish I would have went with the new FN Reflex.

I have sold a couple and bought several through that site. You will get spam/scammer offers, just know how to identify and ignore them.

For example, “put FTF, TX ID required, bill of sale needed, cash only” and you will have people still asking you to ship, they will even offer you MORE than what you asked to entice you into biting. Don’t. They are scammers.

Real buyers will go to a public place or to an FFL to facilitate the transfer.

Doesn't really matter how new or how many times its been shot, there is a chance you likely won't get back what you are looking for. However, it may just be 100-200 less than what you are looking for. Find a mom and pop shop and trade it in and alot of times they will give you more for the trade in if you put it on the gun you want and get it from their store.

Atleast in my experience. Although there are exceptions, I made a few hundred doing that with a new sig pistol I got at one local mom and pop and sold it to another a few weeks later. But I think that was dumb luck, glad I grabbed the original receipt at the last minute lol.

TLDR: just seems easier than selling it online, or just keep it in the safe and get what you want. You never know when value may go up or you might find yourself liking it, as 200 rounds isn't all that many.

practically a new gun,

Nope...Even if it had just one round thru it. It is a used gun. You may not get everything you put into it. I do not believe Bass Pro will allow trade ins...I have never tried.
Take it to a local gun shop and see what you can do with a trade in.

Facebook marketplace. Title the post selling pen, then take a picture of the pen showing that it works next to a peice of paper with "Springfield Hellcat" written on it.
