Counting down the days till our rutcation trip. First bow trip to the Midwest in somewhere other than Illinois - hope Missouri is good to us. Anybody else has a trip planned and starting to get fired up?

I do not have a trip planned but I will say driving through Missouri, to Omaha, I saw over 200 deer. They were on the side of the road and in fields. I have never seen that many deer before.

I'm started to get fired up for our annual trip to MO

We have a private farm we lease, but we do venture out to public on occasion

I'm always amazed at the amount of LA hunters we see up there

I’ll be headed to Missouri in the fall too. Planning to leave on Oct 29th and staying until the 9th or 10th of Nov. I’m fired up, but I’m fired up for hunting season year round lol
Really hoping it gets cold this year. Last year kind of sucked because it was hot up until the last day of the trip. Our group didn’t kill any nice bucks.

Last year was the worst year we have had in MO. Just hot and windy everyday.

We only killed 1 decent buck between the 4 of us.

I want an early snow this year so bad.

Going back to the same outfitter we hunted with last year for opening weekend. There is no way we can catch it like last year 17 for lows 34highs and spitting snow on day three with tons of chasing.

Live in Mo. If you are willing to put in a little work there are plenty of places to have a successful hunt. I strictly bow hunt on public.

My dad worked for the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. Very easy to hunt all over Missouri public lands.

The biggest bucks are in the NE and NW.

Agreed. Its a lot of work most of the time but I enjoy that part about as much as I do the hunt. I sometimes use a boat to access some spots along the Mississippi. Hardly ever see another hunter.

Good luck! MO has some nice deer.

I live in Callaway county, MO and we are usually #2 or #3 in deer harvesting. Been seeing a lot on the property and even in the front yard drinking from the lake.

Excited for season to arrive!

Getting that time. Was just up at our farm we lease in SW Wisconsin. Got 9 cell cams running, food plot looking good. Getting good pics already. Fired up for two trips, 3 weeks total hunting bow and rifle.

Missouri has great folks and great deer hunting…southern Missouri is full of Confederate history and good country folks and I’ve been impressed with deer on public ground in NW MO.
