Finding all the bodies in tact on Titanic’s bow in what was obviously a pre-death circle jerk is exactly what this story needs.

It is simply the way we were taught in 1976. We were using machines from the 20s. It is old-school but it is something that is good to learn. Apparently some people like being old-school and that must have included this guy. It’s really no big deal. I can see how it would aggravate you though.

Except for the part where they knew they were doomed for like 5 to 15 minutes. That part probably sucked.

How do we know this for sure? I must’ve missed this outside of pure speculation.

Thanks. I missed that part. Yes that would’ve been terrifying especially when you know that the only failure possible is a catastrophic failure that will grind you to an recognizable pulp.

Had no idea they'd died, other than climbing in that tin can

Can't imagine the agony of the dad looking at his 19yo son and knowing what was coming and that he was the only reason the young man was there.

Cameron said he knew the next day they were "trying to handle a situation" and were trying to surface and had dropped ballast.

I believe the "leaked" transcripts of communication are legit. Either way it was a sucky 15-20min.

ETA: If the transcripts are legit hearing the noises had to be terrifying knowing what was coming next.

3,000 feet below sea level and the pressure was well over 10,000 psi.

Not exactly. Contact to Titan was lost at about 3500M, or about 11,500'. The weight of water is .0361 lb-force per square inch. 11,500' of depth equals 138000 vertical inches of water column, or 4981.8 PSI.

It still went boom pretty quick. Don't know about that "vanished like magic" part.

How many times are people going to repeat this inaccuracy?
