No. No one in their right mind with any common sense thinks we go into next season with just Val and Nance.
How did we do last season with Val, Nance, Billy and Hayes (4 guys)? Hayes was unplayable.
We have 2 open roster spots. There are 0 decent centers available (that we can pay).
Right now our options are 1 or both of Liam Robbins/ Matkovich. Worst case scenario they both suck and we sign a vet min who doesn’t play much.

We didn’t even want to play a healthy Hayes when both Val and Nance were hurt and you are just now worried about losing Hayes for depth????

are you good going in with Val and Nance at the pivot?
No, I think that we will trade JV for a less expensive player (my money is on Zach Collins), use some of the savings on a backup like Mo Bamba, and bring in Matkovic as a 4th center.

I can only hope he performs as well for them as he did for us.

And how’d that work out? Listen, Im not pounding the table for Hayes, but if you’ve been getting torched on the regular for the past 4 years because we trot out slow footed or undersized bigs and thats your plan moving forward … well then something is amiss.

WHO said that’s our plan? What in the frick are you talking about?
Jaxson Hayes IS one of those undersized bigs. And he’s fast/ athletic and STILL got torched because he’s RETARDED.

What are you talking about? I clearly said hopefully Griff has something lined up —> A PLAN. and you contradict yourself saying he didn’t play but still got torched. Get it right.

Griff and the Pels clearly have a plan.
YOU seem concerned our plan is to only keep Val/ Nance and trot out slow undersized guys. Because literally no one else believes this or has this much concern except you.

And even if anyone else is concerned I can assure you that the last thing/ person they think is the solution is Jaxson fricking Hayes
Posted on 7/1/23 at 10:52 pm to Pistol44
And to assure you how smart and committed Jaxson is just remember that he is signing a minimum contract to have fun in LA and chase clout.
If he had any common sense he’d go to a team that’s lower profile so that he can work on his bball skills, get in a system that would actually care about his development, and try to get a bigger contract. He immediately signed with LA for the cheapest money.
Oh and he’s going back to the city that he got arrested in and has had previous issues so yes this bright apple is just all the solutions.

I just told you like 3 posts ago my dude. If you don’t want to accept that plan or have any better ideas (highly doubt it considering how this conversation has gone) then idk what to tell you.
Posted on 7/1/23 at 11:08 pm to Dantheman504
Oh, I thought that was your plan, not Griff’s. I sure in the heck hope that’s not the case. Val, Nance and Robbins/Matkovich? My guy, teams going to take turns running PNR or crashing the boards all day … same ole song. My thoughts were to get Stewart from the Pistons in case you were interested.
Posted on 7/1/23 at 11:28 pm to Pistol44
I’m just wondering how we are acquiring Stewart? We have to trade one of Val/ Nance to make salaries work so surely that doesn’t help depth right? And we’d have to use 2 1sts probably?
So yes if you’d like to bring up trade packages with 1 of Nance/ Val and multiple first then sure yeah we have options. That’s probably not going to happen this offseason.
There’s nothing we can do to make you happy from the point of view you have. If you are upset with the potential depth of Val/ Nance/ Matkovich/ Robbins/ Vet min then I’m sorry.

Just for the simple fact, unless there is a trade, I’d like to have a big on the roster that can block or alter a shot occasionally, finish a lob, fastbreak rim run.
Lol

Best news I've heard in a month.
Finally rid of that leach.

This is why I don't really give a shite if we add a rim protector this offseason. My offseason needs are
Shooting

Pg

Denver won a title with the 15th best defense. Middle of the pack.
We need fricking scoring.

We could have this with upside had we just signed Jax

Griff's plans usually suck arse, just FWIW, like trading #4 and trying to go all-in on CP3 then Lowry for max money
The only reason Griff wasn't fired and this whole team wasn't stripped down for parts and draft picks is because Kyle Lowry turned us down in free agency. Think about that.
